LCD projector notice
LCD projectors will be available for all presentation rooms for both the conference and the Workshops. People with older machines that may not be 100% compatible with newer projectors are still advised to bring along slides in case of any problems.

A note on Athens' Hellikon Airport:
International flights and domestic flights use two different terminals of the airport
(located a good distance awayfrom each other)  and it will probablybe necessary
for conference participants to shuttle between terminal buildings between flights.
A bus connecting the two terminals of the Athens International airport runs
every 30 minutes between 05:40 in the morning and 22:40 in the evening,
and every 1 hour between 23:20 in the evening and 04:20 in the morning. Tickets
can be bought outside the terminals.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to an oversight the ICS'99 web site listed the Rhodes Palace Hotel
as an alternative to the conference hotel. Please note that the Rhodes
Palace is NOT in the vicinity of the conference site and is NOT
recommended by the Local Arrangements Committee. All recommended hotel
choices are listed in the Hotel Reservation form.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Although we have negotiated special rates with a number
of hotels in the vicinity of the conference hotel, the conference committee
strongly recommeds the Grecotel Imperial Hotel which hosts all conference
functions. Grecotel provides numerous entertainment and recreational
facilities not provided by the other recommended hotels as well as services
for child-care etc. The hotel rate includes breakfast and access to all
hotel facilities including swimming pools and exercise rooms.
However, we were only able to reserve a limited number of rooms at the
Grecotel complex due to the high demand during the high season.
As of May 5, 105 rooms out of 130 reserved for ICS'99 have already been
booked. Although we are still negotiating with Grecotel a new block of
guaranteed rooms, availability is on first-come-first-serve basis.
