Call for Papers

for the 2nd Conference of the

Victorian Chapter of the

IEEE Engineering in Medicine and

Biology Society.

"Biomedical Research in 2001"

To be held at Monash University, Clayton Campus, Victoria.

February 19-20, 2001.

This Conference has been conceived to provide a discussion and feedback forum for local, interstate and overseas Biomedical Researchers, Engineers, Physicists and students. It is intended to provide a mechanism for the low cost presentation of original Biomedical Engineering research.

Program

Conference begins at 9am sharp Monday the 19th -- Please register before this time.

Registration will be open from 8am. Presentations are 10-12 minutes with 3-5 for questions. Powerpoint, Slides, Overheads are catered for.

The Conference is located in Lecture theatre E7 ground Floor in building 72, Clayton Campus, Monash University,

Park in the northern carpark--free (see;- http://www.monash.edu.au/campuses/clayton/map1.html for map).

Cost $100, Full time postgraduate students $50, full time undergraduate students $25, day registration $50. Printed proceedings will be made available to all participants as well as be made available after the conference on a WEB site ensuring international availability. It is intended that National significance be attached to this Conference by requiring papers to be 3-4 pages long and by having the full paper peer reviewed. Papers should be submitted by November 20.

Papers presented and produced in the proceedings are intended to meet the current DEETYA E1 funding requirements. This will enable Universities to significantly benefit from this low cost presentation opportunity.
