ECSE Departmental Research Seminar, Wednesday 22 - 11 - 2006
Title: "A Human Gait Tracker for Surveillance Applications"
Speaker: Lara Kornienko, E&CSE, Monash University
Abstract:
When faced with the problem of people tracking in real-world situations, the majority of solutions involve the use of video data only. These systems generally make use of advanced image-processing techniques such as contour fitting, 'blob' detection, template matching and so on. The aim of the work presented is to develop a real-time tracking system, which can distinguish multiple human targets via full-body feature detection and analysis of their gaits using both video and laser sensory data.
