Software Repository

To install software onto the Raspberry Pi's a software repository was set up on the Server to faciliate easy installation of software onto the Raspberry Pi's.

Installing Software onto the Raspberry Pi's

  1. Download Files and Dependencies that are to be installed on the Raspberry Pi's. (TODO Instructions on how to do this).
  2. Place all files into /home/openflow/Desktop/rasp_repo (Can use Folders)
  3. Run /home/openflow/Desktop/update-rasp_repo
  4. Use ClusterSSH/SSH to log into Raspberry Pi's that require the software.
  5. Run on the Raspberry Pi's
    • sudo mount /mnt/rasp_repo
    • sudo apt-get update
    • sudo apt-get install
    • sudo umount /mnt/rasp_repo

Server

cd /srv/rasp_repo
dpkg-scanpackages . /dev/null | gzip -9c > Packages.gz

Raspberry Pi

/etc/apt/sources.list
#deb http://archive.raspberrypi.org/debian/ wheezy main
deb file:/mnt/rasp_repo ./

/etc/apt/sources.list.d/raspi.list (modify file)

#deb http://archive.raspberrypi.org
