Wireless Sensor and Robot Networks Laboratory (WSRNLab) Projects

  • eBug (we now have eBug2014 robots) and eyeBug for multimedia sensor, smart camera and robot networks experiments (see the eBugs and eyeBugs in action here and here)
  • Packet Radio and Smart Packet Radio for performance analysis of routing, virtual localization, congestion control and self-organization experiments in wireless sensor networks. We have created a protocol stack and overlay architecture to create an easy-to-manage packet radio network over the ECSE department's Linux Computers: WSRNLab Wireless Sensor Network Testbed (WiSeNet)
  • Raspberry Field: A portable and rapidly configurable ad hoc wireless network testbed
  • 6LowPAN Mesh Network for experimenting with the Internet of Things and Smart Environments
  • Monash Glomerida Board for robotics, machine vision, sensor networks and real-time control applications. We use the board in our teaching program as well. Sensor processing and intelligent behaviour of the robots designed by the student teams for our Engineering Design unit are accomplished by them.
